Me? More experienced? Hehe...
Story time:
I started as a HL1 mapper and moved to Source...I joined the famous 'City 13' mod which died.
I then joined Nightfall and I just couldn't keep up with the work...Anyway the mod is falling apart from what I can see...They may have returned with new media but it sucks and their best team mates have left. Kremator - Learn to spell
I've started a few projects and they died due to over the top ideas that could never be done by me.
Finally I joined Gang-Life which died.
I have seen that mods die because of pressure or the lack of enthusiasm.
If you are dedicated then it'll pay off! I'm making my own mod right now because if I don't then I will never stand out in the games industry. By doing this I am opening a door to my successful future.
From experience I know that you shouldn't put pressure on team members but don't let them be too lazy. Send an email every now and then asking how progress is doing however don't write it so you sound annoying.
I got a plan sorted - Get concepts drawn, use concepts to get modeller, model concepts and place in maps, take media pictures, post for coders with media and pray!
Enough wise from me.
