4 path_corners
1 env_laser
1 npc_seagull

The env_laser has a target of the npc_seagull, which flies around the room to each path_corner. The laser is on the center of the ceiling, and points at the bird as it flies around.

It is VERY choppy..... (as seen in http://twhl.co.za/mapvault_map.php?id=3989 )

I need help with this... how can I smooth out the laser so it seems to follow the bird around better?

Perhaps you can't...The bird may be 1. Too fast for the laser 2. Flies choppy

This is an idea I have never thought or tried so I don't know...

I was bored and wanted to have some fun with lasers... I have Breen walking into one with a 1000 damage per second LOL

Heh...Well all I can say is keep experimenting...I always love to do mini projects like following a tutorial or discovering what entities do etc...

I've replaced the bird with Breen, Barney, a couple others - the movement is still pretty steppy... and when there's no damage/second defined, Barney and Alyz still do the "Oooh! Ow! ARGH!"

It's funny - they walk around sounding like they are having sex

try making the laser target a info_target, that is parented to the npc.

its because of the way the origin moves with the animation. you have to have another target that follows the path corners if you want it to work

Parent the info_target to the seagull.
