So here it is, the interesting thread. Talk about whatever comes to mind, from your cat sleeping in front of your monitor, to your least favorite game, and maybe even what you had for breakfast.

Try to keep it as un-spammish as possible, though.

Kind of hard to tell that, really.

Although cats do seem more independant than dogs. You don't see them following their owner around everywhere, and you see them kill their own food a lot, too.

Cats suck. Sure, they've got some pros that dogs dont. But my cats always abandon me until its time for them to be fed. Lazy bastards. A dogs not like that though. They're always there for you and one quick call and they'll be jumping all over you. Not like cats.

Dont kill their own food? Our recent cat, peanut and mistycant seem to stop killing. Oh i just love picking up dead guts and blood-stained feathers from the floor. Damn pests.

Cats are good for people who are never home. You don't really have to worry about them, because they mostly sleep all the time.

Dogs are very needy generally, and are only good for people who are home to walk/brush/pet/play with them a lot.

My friend Ian has a purebread German Shepard called Hercules--he is gigantic. When nobody is home--which is all the time--, the dog barks the whole time, and the neighbors complain constantly.

Ian is a good example of someone who shouldn't have a dog.

It's really all about your preferences. I don't personally like some animal jumping and yelping around me all the time, begging for attention (not to say all or most dogs do that). I don't see many dogs doing that much on their own, either. They seem kind of static, like they're just waiting around until you call them. This could be fine though, if you don't want them doing that kind of thing.

Besides , I just like a meow better than a bark.

My cats won't stop loving me, they'll actully jump on the keyboard and paw at my hand while I'm on the computer. It gets annoying actually.

Pff, please. What other...Well...'Uses' would a cat have that a dog doesnt. What if you got attacked in your own home (could happen) The cat is more likely to start cooking a 5 course meal for you then a dog is. Cats can be good, when they're around. But can you honestly say they doing anything much more other then sleep and go off for hours at a time? I doubt it. As rowley said though, it depends pretty much on your life style.

Many dogs wouldn't be inclined to attack an intruder like that, it's just that people perceive them as dangerous.

Anyway, most people don't get pets to be useful, they're just there for the company.

Cats are smarter. Cats don't take up as much space. Cats don't bark(excluding really loud meows). Cats don't drool. Cats don't leave massive human-sized craps. Cats look cooler.

Cats > dogs. Eat some swiss cheese.

I say don't rely on an animal to do things for you. (alarm system, defense) Just learn a martial art and train yourself to sleep lightly. I can kick anyone ass online here and still hear you walk in too.

Okay, new topic: Your least favorite game of all time!

For me, I'm not really sure what it is, because I normally only buy games that get fairly high reviews. I might guess that mine is Stuntman. That's the most frustrating game I've ever played in my life.
