NOTE: I am using the latest ZHLT Compile GUI.

Alright, i just did a compile on a huge ass city map. VIS took about 10 hours to complete compiling, so when i get up to switch on my monitor, im hit with this error (or something like this, i lost the log):

MAX MAP LIGHTS

Now, thats an easy fix, just change the lightdata amount.

However, i really dont feel like compiling this map again. Is there a way i can just change the lightdata amount in RAD and simply just recompile the lights with this new command line and not worry about compiling anything else again?

Well, you could try just running hlrad on it, see if it overwrites the light data. If not, then no, I guess.

Hmm, ill try that.

There is a feature that allows you to update the map lighting, but it never works when i use it...

if it's not a muilti player map i sugest you break it into to 3 or 4 parts and use change levels.

10HOURS!?!?!?!? Yeah, if possible, definately take killer1102's advice! Although, I once compiled a map for a final test, and I accidentally had put info_playerstart in the floor!! I felt like crying!
