I am tring to compile a map with +/- 3mg and with 256mb/ram, but the compile process is to slow. last time i tried it it has taken more than 1 hour but I needed the pc so I have to shut down hammer. is this normal??I am not using zonner's tools because it gives me an compile error with zonner's tools but with the tools form hammer it compiles the map...but is too slow.tnks ;)

u must get zoner compile tools they are much better

(something kool i have found... having a skybox round my relatively small map took the visability matrix to 3.4 meg now without it takes 1.4 meg)

If Zoner's tools give you an error... you map has an error in it.

sounds like u changed some (but not all) o the faces textures then changed tem back. it probably wont work, but try just clicking the origin brush then te texture brush tool with the origin texture selected.
