The Invasion 105 sequel... this mod will have 4 big maps (I hope) and I will try to get the most Source engine like as I can... The maps will have these environments (I hope again)...
1st and 2nd maps - Destroyed and f*cked city... (based on Ep1)
3rd - Nova prospekt like...
4th - Forest (based on Ep2)
Yet I only have 2 screenshots from the first map... and it are fullbright... but I will try to constantly update the media...

Looks pretty good for only 2 fullbright screenshots. And I guess fullbright is better than pitch black. (When I compile a map and forget lights its pitch black :( )

But it is easier to buy more RAM than it is to mod a HL2 looking HL1.

At first I thought they were source and I was like "hrm nothing special there..."

But now that I know its HL, nice job with some lighting it would be good.. (Although its going to be hard on HL to have the type of things in HL2 such as a forest)

unless you make one big tree sprite for areas you can't acess so it just looks like alot of trees. but then it would still be hard lol

Never use sprites for trees. Have you played They Hunger?

To make the boundaries, I suggest using tree models in addition to a masked tree texture for the actual wall. Just don't copy + paste all the trees without at least rotating them or something, it looks like shit when you have a forest full of identical trees.

Sorry... I'm trying to make a quote :)... but answering his question...
Half-Life 2 run smootly at my computer... but for me is a challenge to prove that Half-Life 1 engine is not old and It have too much things to enjoy... and about the trees... I think that a destroyed city is not an nice place to put a lot of trees... but its a good idea that I will use to make the last mod map...

:o Looks good so far, my only advice would be to make the Citadel taller and thinner(it looks stubby).I'd like to see a non-fullbright result :)

I've get a new screenshot of the destroyed city... Its normal compiled without fullbright, It shows the city rubbish, a new sky and the converted combine models... This is the better screenshot that I have yet...

Brushwork is really nice, but the light_env...I just don't like it, probably personal taste though.

The lighting is off. If you want it to look like City 17 you should make it more orange.

Impressive stuff.

One thing though. I just know I'll find myself tapping '1' in a firefight in a desperate search for the grav gun.

Having said that it had been proved that physics in HL1 in not such a big didtant dream anymore.
