Well it depends what you mean. I use photoshop, to cut I use the select tool (the image pretty much has to have all it's layers flattened) and just simply Ctrl + C, to paste Ctrl + V... Thats what I would do, but I aint really to sure about what it is you are asking

Flash isnt pro.
Anyways, use the magic wand tool, good for removing backgrounds :
Also, its very easy to learn

well I know about that and I used that to make the background "transparent" or so I thought... But when I imported it into flash there was still a white background that makes the picture look bad. Maybe flash and photoshop just dont work together :| . (I wasnt sayin flash was pro I was saying that I am good at flash)

Example of what I am saying. My icon, the motorcycle. Say I wanted to import that into flash, ONLY the motor cycle not the other stuff. I may be able to use the magic wand tool or manually make a selection box to get rid of it, but when I import it (Copy and Paste) it into flash, there is a white background box where the old background would be. It looks crapy if they are supossed to be driving on a dirt path and there is a white box around it where the old bground would be :

If its a simple design(no flashy stuff, not a photo), try modify>trace bitmap and make some settings(dont know them), then delete the bg.

Hey I like peppers way thats what im used to, but I need to know how to copy ONLY the dude I wanna paste in not the background, cause otherwise when I copy/paste it into flash there is a white bground behind it! Ugh this is terribly confusin! Like say there is a circle, but I copy it in the form of a square cause thats what the window of Photoshop is shaped in, so when I paste it into other programs I have all the stuff in the square outside of the circle with it. And I cant just select each individual part of the pic with the wand cause its a preety complex pic...
