start menu bar

the start menu on my tool bar is gone... i dont no how or when but it happened suddenly... anyone no how to fix? k thx

It must be just tucked into the bottom as far as it can go, put the mouse at the very bottom of the screen, then click and hold the mouse button and move the mouse up. if it doesn't work, I don't know.

Explorer might have crashed. If it had, I imagine you've restarted by now and it's okay, though.
Hold on a minute, are you saying the taskbar remains but the Start button itself's gone? That's bizarre. Try pressing the Windows key, see if that brings it up. If not... joke programs? Viruses?

You can get viruses and pranks that make stuff dissapear. There is one that removes the desktop icons, or itcan remove the shut down from the start menu.

hahah seventh monkey it worked!!! i leave my comp on 24/7... i saw ur post and was like what the heck so i restarted and MY START MENU IS BACK WOOHOOO... thx... sorry for my stupidity... hey how u like my avatar?

if there is a a problem, always restart your computer. if it doesn't work, then ask. It is not good to leave a computer on 24/7, the fan inside can break, and your computer can overheat and fry without you knowing. Beilieve me, it happened to my brother.
