yeah so a full server just fell into my lap, i want to host all you guys great maps, just ask me and ill put it on!

How does a server just fall into yor lap? Thing's like that don't just appear like rain from the sky. Did you decide to start a server, is that what you mean?

In any case you're hosting TWHL maps, eh? Sweet deal. I used to do this but I had to stop hosting a server because I was running it dedicated and something screwed up with my connect. Nobody could connect without having a ping over 200.

Could you host my maps cs_poltergeist2 and ka_skycity?

Well I didn't play CS much but when I did have it I enjoyed slackiller's de_vine 1 and de_vine 2 looks very good. Search the vault for those two de_vine maps or check slackiller's profile, I highly recommend them, both because of the looks and the gameplay.

It may not be one of TWHL's finest maps, but it would be nice if you could put cs_palm up. I've always wondered how the gameplay in it would be, but I've never gotten the chance to play it against anybody.

If you do source do the de_bedroom source one... its not worth doing the normal cs1.6 de_bedroom because I didn't know about wadinclude at the time and everyone would have to DL the map seperatly to get the textures

The easy way to suck up to a community in 3 easy steps:
1. Get a spare computer, install Steam and the dedicated servers.
2. Brag about it on TWHL and put some random maps on there, even the shit ones, anything to keep the authors happy.
3. Popularily++.. until m0p snipes your thread.

ya know m0p theres a difference between being nice and sucking up, i dont need to suck up because i don't strive for acceptance, but i do need people to play my server so i figured advertising the ip on this site would get some, i also figured id host some maps while i was at it..sorry

Don't use admin mod. Use amxx. Admin mod is severely outdated. Amx is beyond admin mod, amxx is beyond amx.

I wasn't even pointing to the thread of the HLDM server (wich has way more replies than this thread), I was pointing towards the HLDM server.
HLDM > CS imho, but i'll leave that discussion aside. Muzz's server is quite populated, but I guess if you don't visit #twhl regularly you don't know that.

I still don't understand how you can compare a fairly old server with a new one, that isn't even the same game, and say that one of taking the other over. Well duh. Muzz's server obviously has the upper hand in terms of popularity. It's been here longer, no crap its going to be more populated.
I check the TWHL HLDM server almost daily and its usually empty when I check, by the way. Though it could be because of the time differences between countries. Maybe I'm just at my pinnacle of computer time while everyone else is at school or sleeping or something.

About nobody playing, get IRC and join #twhl on gamesurge. Just ask if someone wants to do a game of HLDM at the server. Mostly someone joins, most regular server visitors are admins anyway and they can change the map to crossfire and randoms will join.

You live in America right? I believe Dorian lives in America, he has a decent ping around 100 and i've played with him just 2 days ago..

Anyway, I thing we should end this discussion and get back on-topic.
