i made a very large, very detailed building

and i selected every last piece of it and did a "tie to entity" now i tied it to func_detail after that when i select it all pieces are selected, so i think oh no big deal ill just right click and "ungroup" but thats dosent work either!

any ideas?!

mmmm, Also, when you tie more than two brushes together they are both accounted and selected when you click on it. The entity can't be ungrouped untill you right click the entity and click on "move to world", in which will change the entity into a brush again. If you want to be able to move the bruses around, you have to set the func_details to different groups of entitys. Divide that into SEVERAL func_details. I would reccomend though that you dont func_detail an entire building, that makes the compiling ignore lighting the building. It will be litten, yes, but not with the same vigor a regular building would do.

This is easier to change. look to your right. At the top should be a box with groups, objects, and solids buttons. Select the Solids button and there you go.
