Hey, I have made some water for my map and when I look at it in-game sometimes it will be totally clear and sometimes it will be like a brownish color. I have a "water_lod_control" but it still does it. This would not be a problem, but the change in the waters appearance happens when you are a few feet infront of it! It is easilly noticable. Can anyone help? :

I have seen this before in a few maps... Although, I'm not sure how to solve it. :

Have you tried different waters and dev. vs. nature waters too? Or does this occur with all waters?

I have tried three water textures. Dev and Nature. Happens to both. Could it be that it is on Fast Compile? Because I don't normal compile my maps until I am fully completed with it. (Who would? lol)

I think I had this problem once, did you check for leaks?

Any screenshots?, or a youtube video of the problem?
I would make a full compile on at least the area with the water, using cordon bounds. I usually do a lot of full compiles before the map is done, because the errors you find on the way are faster to fix than waiting for a full final compile and working on it afterwards.
Water problems are usually because of leaks. But just in case, make another water surface nearby and see if it also has problems.

Could this be the problem? Should I simply change the texture to fix it?

I made a video anyway I didn't test that error yet but I will. I wanted to leave my map a surprise so I tried not to look around to much except for the water. Here you are.

2 possibilities:

-Your water_lod settings are telling the water to change from cheap to expensive water too suddenly, instead of gradually
-The water seems to be switching cubemaps. This usually happens when you have more than one water brush in the same area, or two cubemaps too close to the water.
