I'm making a mod, and as the first level, the intro, I want the player to ride a truck until it stops and the level changes. I have the truck setup, it's a func_train and I've given it the preferred properties. When I play the map, the truck starts to drive. But when it's comes to a place, a bit from it's ending path_corner it "stops". Not the train itself, but the textures it seems.

I know, it's weird. The player carries on driving to the last stop, but the truck itself remains where the textures were left, or whatever. So the train is basically invisible with an exception of a "ghost-truck" left behind. I have no idea why it's like this...

I can upload the map so you can look at it if you want/need to.

(sorry, I know it's confusing, but I couldn't express myself any other way >:/ )

I had a problem like that on my really cool cable car map.....

For me the problem was the func_train was travelling to far so I couldn't finish my map......
.....but it'll be back 4 hl2 :P

woops I better reiterate...
My problem was caused by my train travelling to far

...I can imagine similar problems could happen from placing the map to close to the edge of the grid though :zonked:

The origin brush was missing from the func_train. The strange thing is, it never should have worked at all like that. :o

i have a stupid prob for my mod i have some func tracktrains but icant get them to work really strange they wont start moving :zonked: :zonked: :zonked:

I can't get func_tracktrains working either-in my mod I was trying originally to make a func_train that would crash through a wall when you jumped on it. I can never get func_trains to work-It had an origin brush and everything but for some reason it just appeared at its last path corner at the start of the map. My func_tracktrains just won't move either... :( :(

can someone wright a breif tutorial on how to use track trains? a spinoof of the train one?
