Here is a little bit more info about the mod

HalfLife = Shortlife is a Halflife1 mod. In The mod you play as Dr. Breen, the administrator from Black Masa. Remember? Good. Anyway, you play as Dr. Breen and have to escape Black Masa! Who can you trust, well, maybe 2 or 3 barneys but what do they know?! Your Freinds are splatterd against walls and ceilings! What the hell is going on?! Find out when you Play Halflife = Shortlife!

short-life is a mod created for Half-life 1, where the player plays as DR. Breen, Gordon's administrator. To understand who Dr. Breen is, play Half-life 2, then play this mod. Short-life will be released in chapters, around once a month each. Each chapter is 4 levels each, so expect to


complete each chapter quicky, but once all the chapters are released, we will release a full mod, with all the chapters in one. The first chapter is set moments before Gordon pushes his test subject into the beam, and you have just entered the storage level, 30 floors underground...


We here at Shortlife.com really don't want to tell you the whole story at once, but overall, it will be released in chapters once a month. Chapters are 4 levels each, and they will be avalible for download here at Shortlife.com, hosted by GameSpy.

What type of game play will we be facing?



Shortlife Game play is almost the same style as Half life 1, it's not one of those mods where There is a grunt round every bend. Monsters are placed in the best places, some times you will get a fright, other times you might expect what's round that corner...


Are the maps narrow or wide, what type of areas will I be fighting in?


You will be fighting in a variety of places, large, small, narrow and wide. We hope to include part of XEN, and even on the other side of the combine portal...

Chickenfist is right you have about a quarter of an hour to view one picture! So change the picture format into jpeg!!!

What an ugly Light Bulb you have in that level!

They work fine for me? They loaded in like 2 seconds...

It took me longer than 2 secs. And yes, that light bulb is kinda big. Where are all the monsters? why has it not been updated?

That's because we have leet fast internet, Habboi, they take unnecessarily long for slower users.

I'm on two meg and I closed them as soon as I saw them start loading from the bottom-up.

Mostly made out of prefabs but there are nice things out there!

Apart from the shelf, I forgot about that, but everything else is not a prefab. If you can see the tool box and the can of coke? They are models from Blue Shift. The pet cages. I made them. The electricity box. I made it. The Lights. I made them. The door, the airvent, even the crates, I made them. That is the truth. I swear it. Please, they are not prefabs. Never, not in a million years. I cross my heart. THEY ARE NOT PREFABS

Well some of the stuff look like prefabs and is this some kind of movie for there are cartbord walls laied on a wall in that map!! Of course that the cages and those stuff are yours but exept from all these stuff there is almost nothing else!

No, it is not a movie, read the story on the web site. All the rooms shown are storage rooms, and the boards with the offic textures on...they are suppose to be spair wall boards (if that is a word : ).

Dr. Breen? Why would you want to play as him? Even though SOME of the stuff are prefabs, they are laid out nicly, I like the steam effects, and the sandwich is kinda amusing. The vending machine is kinda too big. Make it smaller. And I don't think wall board is a word? Somone help me on that. Try to include more interactive things, All I can see are just loads of crates and Wall boards...

Overall, I give it a 5/10 because it's just a bit plain. I'm sure you could spice it up abit.
