A friend of mine has started a Web Template Design website - I've been asked to try and find some new willing members. I'm gonna be hanging around there a lot as i've been made an admin. It's only been running for a few days, but we would really appreciate if a few users signed up there just to invoke interest and get it a little bit more 'seen' It only takes a second...

Thanks a lot

Graphics design (which I consider myself somewhere in between Beginner and Intermediate [closer to Intermediate] at) is part of Web Template Design, so I guess my registration counts as a bit more than just to invoke interest? =D

Excellent, please register! Since the site is new, we will probably be looking for mods later on, and anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. The forums are there to help anyone out, and hopefully tutorials will start being written up. Thanks!

Personally I think that as a web-design oriented site, you should have a professional looking site first, and some actual content. The site looks ok-ish, though I'm not too fond of the color scheme, and the scrolling news items are too busy on the eye. Also, the layout doesn't work well for resolutions lower than 1024x768. A shame, since the content doesn't take up that size by far.

As for asking people to register, I'd say, give them a reason to do so. Put up some tutorials and templates already, for example. I'm sure that'll help more than just advertising it. :)

Hmm.... tutorials would be nice yes. Although I don't need anything as far as "Making a Ghetto-Ass background for your site". As for coding though... yes that WOULD help (I'm not to well along in HTML and my css... well that isn't a possibility for me!).

The blue background makes the text very hard to read.

The banner also needs some interesting graphics.
