Recently, it came to my attention that some places are now listing 'Unreal Tournament 2007' as 'Unreal Tournament 3', and, while talking in the IRC chan about this, I decided it would be a great idea for one of those pointless threads that always pop up in here. So here it is.

Which do you think sounds better: UT07 or UT3?

UT2K7, undoubtedly.

As long as the EA sports guy says 2007 it's good enough for me! So.... then I guess it's not good enough....

This is the third version of the Unreal Engine, which is now called "Unreal 3" iirc.

i dont like UT so ill pick nothing.

The original UT is great, 2003 was nice, but 2004 is what is should've been (hence, you should ignore 2003). 2007 actually looks dull and ugly in my opinion, i love the bright sexy colours of the first games, now it's all dark and gloomy.

UT2K3 also has the most fragile characters in any game to date. If you fall off a ledge that's more than one inch high, you'll hear the sound of your character breaking every bone in his/her body.

It's kind of silly, I can have 1hp and some dude shoots me in the foot, causing me to die. But somehow my spine will snap at the same time, with a major Crack, even though I got shot in the foot..

Ut2k3 was one of the first games where I saw ragdoll physics (jumping through the hoop in BR_anubis was fun to watch)
I didn't bother checking out 2k4.
I think the title should be UT 2007. They should leave the "3" for "Unreal III" if they are going to make that game.
