My brother bought me a Nvidia GeForce FX 5600 today!
Before that I had GeForce 2 card so it's quite the update for me.
It's just a shame that the rest of my computer (Exept my kickass monitor) was invented before the wheel... But hey, I only play HL1 and Quake2 so I don't really need anything better XD.
Im also thinking about installing Linux tonight.
Yay!

5600 = powerful? heh. not quite.
I have a 5500, and it just runs HL2 with shaders on full.

Just got a 512mg 8x GeForce 7600gs (from a 6200) and upgraded from 1gb to 2gb of ram. Now if I could only get Steam to load...

How much money don't you have? But seriously, tech isn't that expensive nowadays in comparison to...... well, then. You could easily build a sub-?300 that could handle HL2, which doesn't strike me as a lot.

Hehe i got my x1950Pro a few days ago. But the fan was too big so it won't fit in my case. I'll have to send it back and get a new one. sigh
