my compile time is getting really long what can i do to make it faster? i heard about switching all of your brushes to func_wall or something like that what could i use to make it faster (thanks)

Func_wall is obsolete in Source...First of all tie detailed bits into func_detail such as a brush window with micro-sized frames...

How long is long by the way? An hour isn't too long if your map is detailed : )

ya its not a very detailed map yet but the compile time is around 1 hour and 20 mins

Make sure too much of your map isnt visible at the same time...thatll make it compile alot longer.
