ok im trying to find a program that i can make my own models like houses or crates and so on for my maps. ive herd that softimmage xsi is free and a good program, should i get it and if so witch download do i want im at this page http://www.softimage.com/downloads/default.aspx?downloadid=62

Are you joking? That's probably one of the easiest modeling tutorials to follow out there. If you can't follow that tutorial, then I seriously doubt you have any hope of modeling in the future :

It is a good tutorial but I only found the compiling bit a little hard to follow when I tried ages ago.
