Every body!

The Source Sdk been seperated from orange box!

Altrough i dont see a OrangeBox SDK in my tools list yet.

Well, I loaded it, and it updated.

The EP2 stuff seems to have disappeared, but the VGUI model viewer still crashes Hammer. :(

O, another Update!

Might be some error fixes!

Edit: The model browser thing still crashes.

eh, that explains all the weird stuff that happened in hammer half an hour ago..

I can now only map for the orange box, not HL2, D:

I'm having no problems what-so-ever - maybe becuase I configured TF2 on my machine manually before the release ot it onto SDK.

only source has the problem. when trying to open the model browser it crashes.

try going to my work around post - load all the files like doing a mod then once done - close and restart steam - then load SDK your TF2 should work just fine.

If it doesn't you can then run it from the mod vesrion you just set up.

I was gonna work on the examplemap playbus suggested, but HL2 mapping doesn't work at all.

Why couldnt they just make a new orange box sdk and leave the good source sdk alone.

For once I agree with Ghetto.
They should have made an experimental separate orange box SDK first.
Then when everything works fine, put HL2 and all those old source games into the new SDK, and remove the old one.

Hey all, Hammer has been totally fixed! you can map for source and orange box without the -engine ep1 setting.

Oh good.

Doubt the light preview works yet. They disabled it temporarily to fix it.

My SDK did update, but it's all the same. Everything that was broken before is still broken for me.

The vgui model viewer still doesn't work at all.

And almost nothing works when the ep1 fix is not applied.

The viewer still works for me. When the ep1 fix is not applied, my texture views appear as one-color wireframe :furious:

Some thing must be wrong with your engine. i mean i can use hammer for source and orange box without the -engine ep1 and i can browse models in both of em.

Maybe try re-instaling your sdk, if your urgent.

As said in an earlier thread, the errors might be GPU related.
Works on some, and does not on others.

I mean, even light preview worked for SOME people

This isn't a problem, they haven't enabled custom mods from the Orange Box products yet.

Im getting tired of steam. it lags very mutch. and most times i try to enter hammer it gives me a steam error, witch says that my registry is being used by another proces, and then i have to shut it down, because it will keep on poping-up every time i try to enter any steam game/tool.

Have you checked the Steam forums? Done a Google search for that error? A lot of Steam problems are experienced by other users, so you should be able to find something...
