It's pretty fun and the shaders they added were very impressive(especially specular shading).
The animations drive me insane though. If they weren't just taken from CS, they were unbearably robotic.
I haven't finished it yet, though.

Edit: Finished it. Way too short for a mod that's been in developemtn as long as it's been. Still awesome though, and definitely worth a look.

What the hell?!

I can only run it in software and 3DD (or whatever it is called) mode!
Not OpenGL!

Anyone else having problems with this?

Rimrook, you're on a laptop too right?
Maybe it doesn't like the special graphics cards.

I have a ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 GPU.
You?

Edit:

Im guessing that it is caused by that mysterious DLL which was put into the Half-life folder.
Be cause I can't run HL1 in OpenGL either anymore.

From the looks of.. everything - a complete S.T.A.L.K.E.R ripoff. I liked Stalker, though, so will check it out.

oh, true.

My laptop probably won't run it right. It doesn't like a lot of the fancy stuff like r_glow and some of the fancier pixel shaders. I can't recall what its graphics level is.

Won't be a problem for long, I just got a GeForce 8600GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card for my monster comp, as well as 2 2gb ram cards.

Also, internet at home is coming soon. So i might jump on the bandwagon and do source. That and map for Portal. I have a buddy who wants me to Mod portal, but we'll see, i wouldn't know what to do with it.

Take the opengl32.dll out of your Half Life folder before playing online. It'll get you banned.

Possible spoilers

Ok so I ran it on my PC instead.
It was a great mod.
For me it was roughly 1.5 hours of gameplay, and I think that's pretty decent for a mod?

It wasn't that scary, but I did get a little scared the minutes before the zombies (or whatever that shit was) were released.
The monsters were awesome, tho very easy to take down.
It was also very easy to leave most of the work to the soldier who was with you since he was invinceble.
Tho his weapons didn't do half the damage as my weapons did.

Oh and also, the aiming system is quite fucked up.
I once unloaded a whole magazine in the stomach of a guy, and it did no damage at all, the shots hit him, but nothing happened.
This happened several times with several weapons, and at some points it seemed as if you aimed better without the iron sight.

I enjoyed playing it anyways.

@Madcow: Ok, so this reply of mine is a bit too late, but there is a file named "!Launch.bat", if you start the game with this batch file, opengl should work. I'm playing it on my mobile Intel GMA 950 now - which sucks - and it runs decent at 1024x768.
