i did everything that tutorial says it leads to errors and compile problems... when u go up to the door and use it it dissapears until u look up and see it dangling over ur head

You probably forgot the origin brush.

Yeah, if you don't put an origin brush on it, it's just gonna rotate around the center of the map instead.

Either that or you didn't bind the origin to the entity itself

You are experiencing a problem that I experienced 6 months ago , when I was a beginner :D . Think were you would want to have the hinges , and then place the origin brush ( a cube textured in "ORIGIN" ) . Select both the door and the origin brush and tie to enity (func_door_rotating)
