BRAINBREAD - BB_LASTSTAND_LONDONAny of you guys played BrainBread? No? Well you should!

BrainBread can be described with a few words:
Awesome zombie massacre.

It's an HL1 mod, you play as humans against endless hords of zombies who dismember when you shoot them. Shoot the arm of, he'll keep on coming at you! Shot half his head of, he's still coming! Blast the other half of his head of and he's down. but only to be replaced by three more! And when you run out of health you turn into one of them! Once the infection-meter is full you can eat your friends brains! And you you've consumed enough brains you'll respawn as human when killed.

There are a few missions in every map:
Kill an amount of zombies
Kill the giant mutated zombie, Fred.
Find a Case and bring it to the mission zone.

Usualy a map is built by all of those missions in different combinations.

The only downer is that all the maps has the be very low poll to handle the insane amounts of zombies. So the maps are either ugly or just acceptable.

I have just finnished a BB map. It's called bb_LastStand_London.

You're in a broken down London, trying to survive and find the case! Maybe even kill Fred, the big old bastard!

I remember checking this mod out a long time ago... I'm gonna reinstall it and check it out. Used to play They Hunger for a while but the online maps were shit.

Is there much of an online gaming community for BB?

Yeah, I use to play this alot. I have a map for it too, 'The Old House'...

Yeah I meant Zombie panic before lol, I don't think TH has a multiplayer.. : )

I started playing BB yesterday, and I quite like it.

Pretty neat map, and I like The BB games because you can go on an empty server, and still have some fun with the bots. I don't remember ZP having a bot component. (course obviously it's way harder/fun with real people)

I played your map for a while and I have a few observations. Keep in mind I just started playing the mod, so I still don't reaLly know what's going on.

-I like the general mapping. I'd like more accessible parts like maybe the bus and more buildings, but I know your limited by wpolys

-I wish there were more "seige" areas in the first part of the map. That main area is the only place you can survive, as there are no weapons of note anywhere else--that double barrel shotgun is useless, or I can't figure how to reload it lol. and if you pick up the winchester in the parking garage, theres no bullets! (one annyonying thing I've found with the mod is when you drop a weapon, it doesn't let you pick up a new one?)

-If not more siege areas, maybe some more ammo around the first part. That gun on the fire escape won't let me use it, even after I used impulse 101 to cheat and go to level +100, lol! = )

-I can jump on one of the cars, but the other one on the other side of the map is clipped off, even though it's the same car. I couldn't figure out how to get to all the "up top" areas, but maybe I had to play more or complete more objectives.

-I couldn't figure out how to get to the second area of them map, even after noclipping! the obstacles clear when you complete an objective?

Anyway, neat mod and neat map. I played this mod for hours yesterday, thanks for letting me kno about it! : )

Jazhel: is that the one with the mini uzis and scoped m4 in the attic? I just played it on a server yesterday if it was! ZP has a cool victorian house that's similar but bigger.

Captain terror; You're new at this game, so my guess is that you didn't actualy use your level points? Yes, you have to bind a button to get the mouse on screen and decide weather you want to put your level points on "HPS" "SPEED" or "SKILL", and some of the weapons needs you to have 2 - 15 skill points before using them, such as the sniper on the fireescape!

And my map is designed for atleast 2 - 3 players, so that you have people that can cover you're ass.

And I probably should have created a game text that you must shoot the first blockade away yourself... Otherwise it all happens when missions are completed.

The map is built of three main areas, one of them is only accessable through completing the "carnage" mission after killing fred.

Yep - that's the one Captain. I kind of rushed that map a bit, hence the lack of garden and basement stuff.

Excellent map Tosse. Inspires me to make more BrainBread maps.

Im also gonna make more maps. I have a nice to-do list.

1. Create a realistic mall map for BB
2. Create a coop mod for BB with puzzles insted of the original BB missions.

Yeah, realistic maps are the way forward. A while ago I was in the process of making a log-cabin type map - pretty freakish, but I lost the map when my computer went retarded.

Anyway, I'll get on the case right away...

Ah, but London is the capital. And the capital has Heathrow. And why would you go through Glasgow or Edinburgh? I'll bet that Urby lives in the southern section of England (just a guess, I think that's where the majority of UKers live), so why get a taxi/drive all the way from there? You limey fruitcake about 150% my age!

Ive been playing this to, is this already running on a server? Im usualy on the GPC or ASDAM server.

We were going to get a server up for dpgames but didn't bother in the end. Can't remember which server we played on now. Got up to pretty good levels though.
