The last Map of the Month was December. In a couple of weeks, the MOTM reviews will be 6 months behind. What's going on here? Is it sheer lack of motivation? Not enough votes? What?

Is it time for Map of the Season?

It's plenty of things, and it's not just the MotM reviews that are suffering. TWHL3's release has played havoc with everything and everyone important to the process is either away or busy lately with work/school/uni.

EVERYTHING on this site is volunteered so it's no surprise there's a lot of things that still need sorting out, people just need to be very patient with it.

Hopefully once we finalise our new staff members and reinstate the moderators we should start seeing some good progress.

Maybe should simply make a thread for each month and have people nominate/vote for Jan-Apr.

Otherwise, when the system is back up and/or the MOTY comes due, the review team is going to be swamped with a half-dozen or moar reviews to write all at once! At least this would give them time to get started?

Or i guess you could make the nominate/vote system available for all the back months simultaneously, if that is even a possibility...

The MOTM system is up. It's all automated in the vault now.

The map of the month link off the sidebar should take you to the winners page and/or the current month, or at least have a link from the winner's page (i never noticed the nomination thingie in the mapvault index before!)
