I have made a number of speech files (.wavs) for particular guards and scientist in my level, all i need to do know is intergrate those into the level to create kind of a story, the question:
How is this done?

simple steps from begining to end please! ;)

Easiest way is probably to just use a lot of ambient_generics.

Better way? Search the forums for "custom sentences".

sentences.txt won't be an obstacle either.
first you create some new sentences in the sentences.txt. then you create some scripted_sentence ents set the sentences you want and link them to your monsters. last step: start the map and listen to them. :P

make sure your wavs are in the correct format, and have all the right headers.

You can code in the mouth movements into the wavs ;)

I have never had to code in any mouth movements. (I wouldn't know how to do that anyway) In my experience, the mouths move according to the varying frequency within the wav file. In other words, it happens automatically.

Take a look at my answer in this post, it should help with getting your sentence wavs set up and running.

Same, louder the sound, wider the mouth.

My new mod, Isotope, will have a custom sentences file. It's easy as crap to make them work.
