I am just new at mapping and have a question re: Wally and map size...

When I create my maps in wally there only seems to be enough space on the grid for 1 decent size room ?? How do i get a larger area to work in ??????? :zonked:

For one...Wally is a texture creation/importation (and exportation) program. That means, you make textures for Half-Life (and a few other games I believe) in wally.

You need Valve Hammer Editor

Use smaller grib button (located in the toolbar) few times to lower the grid (you see your active grid size in the lower right corner) to about 8. Also read Dimension tutorial to know how to big make things.

Yes, it's better in my opinion. Download it and see.

And make sure you use Zoners tools to compile, not the ones that come with Hammer. You'll find them a bit better to work with.
