If you used a hack, you deserve to be banned. Congratulations.See, that's the thing about this, what if no hacks were used, but still got banned? Sure, if you used a hack, you deserve a ban. But what I have been hearing around and got a bunch of people confused is there were a while back a lot of underserved bannings from "false positives". Now, some of these gaming companies that are doing the bannings are saying they have fixed the false positives discrepancies.........Have they really? Do you buy in to this?
to be honest, tito - I rather suspect most of those "honest player" stories are just people denying that they cheated. VAC is held with pretty high regard. You might be right. It's also interesting how you said "most of those honest player" instead of saying "all of those honest player". I think you suspect something, but only a bit. I remember reading this interview from one of Valve's executives, he was asked about false positives on cheating, and his response was "we are still working on that issue". Man, I wish I knew where the hell I saw that at, it was about a year ago, but I can't remember now. As soon I find a link to this interview, I will post it. I do agree with you that some of these banned players are lying, but I am also sure some are innocent. Like you said, VAC is held with pretty high regard, and I agree, but I also say that as good as it might be, it's not 100% perfect, therefore not 100% fool proof. NOTHING ON EARTH IS. Remember, the system is only as good as the people behind it, it only takes on mistake from just one person to throw everything off.
If you used a hack, you deserve to be banned. Congratulations.Yes, from CS:S I agree. But I'm talking about L4D here..
