A very strange crash: a classic "memory could not be read" crash when CSG hits ~90% on cratebrush. That's really all I know.
What are some possible causes for this? Tommy14's got nothing.

no idea--i checked my error diary but found this problem not--but i'll try compiling your map to reproduce the error if you like...

PM recieved and responded to. = )

It works ok for me, but pay attention to the "larger than expected texture" errors, maybe they are buggering your compile?

Maybe, but highly unlikely. Taking out a few areas allowed for a crashless compile, but it didn't matter what sections I deleted. At first I wanted to think it was the sheer amount of solids, but they're still way under the engine limit.
But since you say it worked on your end, it must just be my Zoner's tools, because I haven't updated them in years :|

Did you increase your texture memory?

I've had the texture memory cap at 8 megs for a long time, and this map only uses 1.4.

That message in the log was from one of your wads D:
None of the textures I'm using are bigger than 256^2 [any bigger and you get that warning, but even so, it's safe to use textures as high as 512^2 or 1024x256]

Edit: Looks like it's working with the newer tools. I guess this is what I get for not updating my compile tools since 2002. Thanks Captain.

2002!
you might as well try to compile with a chisel and stone

I never had any reason to upgrade until now. The old tools had always worked error free :P
