OK, so I know I want to get both Mass Effect and Lost Planet, but I'm not sure if I want them for the PC or the 360 (PS3 version of LP is out since I heard Capcom crippled the quality of game). While I usually lean towards a PC version of a shooter since the control scheme is better, is it really a good idea in these cases is the console version the better one?

I've played the Lost Planet demo on both 360 and PC and I would say go for it on 360. It's design kind of caters more towards the console, and the PC version is a crappy port anyway (sluggish mouse control etc).

According to the ever-reliable Ant, Mass effect for PC is super buggy.
Most companies don't spent time porting, and so there's tons shitty ports. It's usually better to get the game on the console it was originally made for.

I had some time at work today to do a little searching on the net, and from all the images I found comparing the two versions of the games, the PC one is better for both of them.
Guess I'll just have to wait 'til I get a better comp before I play these games.
