Check out my new Gateway 22" monitor. (1680x1050) resolution for only 200 bucks! Also I baught some logitec X-240 speakers with a 15 watt subwoofer for 55 bucks. Shooting the shot gun is amazing. Shooting the revolver on halflife 2 !!!blows you away!!! I really recommend people go to bestbuy and spend the 250 to get a set up like I have. Im very pleased with my monitor because unlike other flatscreens I have seen, this one gets very bright if you wish and comes in extremely clear. My mouse is a 20 dollar microsoft lazer mouse I got from walmart. It is very smooth and comfortable to the hand. What a change this is from my fat old 13 inch monitor and crappy sound system I picked up at a garage sale that harldy worked!

Meh, why bother with flashy keyboards? I've got a cheap ?6.99 unbranded black keyboard. Its a board, with keys on, and it works. Paying out ungodly prices for MP3 controls and Wireless (need to pay extra for batteries too...) makes about as much sense as buying a mobile phone for the camera.

</redundant technology rant>

Anyway, monitor looks swish. I had an 22" LCD a couple of years back. Awesome resolution but sweet jesus the thing weighed a ton. Down to a 15" TFT now.

I'd have a dual display setup running right now if my desk space wasn't so limited.

I got these speakers for less than $20.

And I am willing to bet that they sound just as good as your $50 2.1 speakers.

It's the best bargain I have ever seen.

Nice monitor...
Well... at least the monitor is nice :) Awesome deal on it.
If that's not a multimedia keyboard, put one on your list.

Who needs flashy keyboards anyway? I'd still be using my IBM Model M if I hadn't gotten a G15 for my birthday a couple of years ago. You should definitely invest in a good mousepad though for gaming, instead of that desk. QPad CT or fUnc 1030 (first if you like cloth pads, second if you like hard pads) would be my choices, it'll make a world of difference.

I'd personally use a headset and a CRT (Sony GDM-FW900 anyone? 24" of widescreen Trinitron goodness) over speakers and a TFT too, but hey those are personal tastes. Sounds like you got a good deal on speakers/monitor.

Staring into a HDTV from 2 feet away all day burns your eyes. Most HDTVs are meant to be looked at from sofa-distance, they're way too strong to sit so close to.

Quite frankly, I prefer a keyboard that has whats nessessary and that's it. I mean, I'm currently typing on a keyboard (parent's computer) that has a button for undo... how hard is it to press Ctrl-Z?!?! This keyboard was obviously intended for the more Microsoft Word orientated of us (what with many more buttons along those lines), but still!

I think my fingers are glued stuck to CTRL-S, doesnt matter what program. How much i would pay to be able to revert to a earlier save IRL.

Good solution. I just glued mine too :

I got myself a great logitec gaming mouse with instant DPI adjuster buttons with up to 5 different programmable speeds and side scolling mouse wheel, 2 extra buttons that i have bound to undo and save for all programs! And weights to customise the feel. Its a great mouse and the adjustable speeds means i can go instantly to fast 3D viewing to fine pin-point detailing in the press of a button!
