I watched Red Cliff last weekend.

It's a historical portrayal of a famous battle that took place in ancient China more than 2,000 years ago.

It was awesome.

If you liked "300", you'll like this film too.

Ever watched Crank? It's a good movie. And something tells me its not intended for people of my age... but that didnt seem to stop me watching it. :nya:

Sorry for twisting this thread for my own nefarious purposes. Ignore me if you must.

I'm sorry, but 300 and Crank both mentioned in the same thread? Those films are as awful as it gets.

This movie though, looks good.

The Red Cliff battle took place about 500 years after the Greek Trojan War.

The difference between the Trojan War and the Red Cliff battle is that the Chinese conflict has extensive historical documentation. That single battle determined the course of Chinese history and founded the Three Kingdom era.

The Trojan War was based primarily on mythology.

What's wrong with Crank? Are you sure you're talking about the same movie I am? And if you are, oh well, everyone has their preferences.

Your taste in movies suck.

Back on track: Not a big ancient war movie person. They're very boring.

What does the Trojan War have to do with 300?

The Battle of Thermopylae has quite an extensive historical record.
