Perhaps the key founding members of Christianity were no crazier than some of the people creating today's new religions! I do and have doubted the total sanity of anything who has had one of these experiences since I have been old enough to philosophise the topic. It makes a lot of sense that if one is searching for signs and whatnot, given he has the suitable mind, he will end up tricking himself into believing he was touched by god.

This is only going to feed the atheists what they want.

I tend to be careful when reading anything coming out of NPR, which has the reputation of having far left liberal inclinations.

Well, the liberals (like myself) listen to NPR while the conservatives listen to Rush Limbough.

There's a market for every sector.

I don't have a problem with liberals with most issues, except most of my left wing friends HATE on the space program and think it should be totally defunded, for better things like medicare and junk.. [/hijack]

Don't get me wrong, I am not necessarily against liberal issues, what I have a problem with, is the extreme versions of it. That's why I said, quote: "far left liberal", with the emphasis on "far left". Now, that extreme rule also applies to the far right conservative agenda, and again, I am against that too. I guess what I am trying to say here, both sides of the ideology equation have their radical fringes, and that type of extremism is what causes further divide among all groups.

Now I will go on the record as to say that I consider myself to be a conservative, but a moderate one at that, meaning that I do have room for the liberal way of thinking, as long as it remains within the range common sense. This of course goes for conservative thinking too.

If I had to choose, I'd say I'm liberal, but I'm definitely for the space program.
