You drank Gasolina
What, you want some? I could hook you up with some.
The guys at Columbine were complete outcasts, and they saw it as being forced lower than everyone else, for no good reason, but in the army at least you know that you're not the only one, and that what's happening is for a reason.
That's why there are also military boot camps, to weed out the undesirables, the ones that will crack up easily. By the way, I was in the Navy, but attached to a Marine Corps unit.

Wars should exist between planets, solar systems( on higher scale, I'm referring).
But, of course, only if we have a good reason... riight? Having friends is a lot more beneficial than having enemies.
Think about this : aliens exists, and an encounter anywhere in the future is inevitable.
Unless we end up killing ourselves first.

You try spending 4 years having every part of your life criticized and shit on for 7 hours a day 5 days week.
Sounds like my life. I personally think the violent videogames HELP my stress, I work it out by shooting virtual characters instead of real people.

Wow, that's a long school day. Must be cramming some zero periods and after school activities in there.

When I was a little primary school student all I wanted to do was shoot guns because of James Bond and perfect dark. Also I had like a billion friends and was never bullied at all.

Also when I got into Americas Army, I almost went to join the army, luckily I was too young. Why would the US army continue to spend money on their free game if it didn't recruit anybody?

Also c striker, alien contact is NOT inevitable but I'd bet my last dollar on other lifeforms (not necessarily intelligent) existing in the universe. It'd take some mega cool awesome technology to ever make contact with alien life forms effectively.

Yep, not only is America's Army video game still being used as a recruiting tool by the U.S. Army, but it actually works really well in recruiting. Also, the U.S. Army has just finished completing a billion dollar plus network of virtual reality type combat simulators linking hundreds and sometimes thousands of soldiers at once! Full details of this is being kept classified, though.

Assuming reincarnation is real, maybe you already have been. It's not like you'd have any memory of it or anything.

When you think about it, we really can't imagine how impossibly huge the universe is. And some people would be naive enough to think that in this friggin' humongous space that we are the ONLY intelligent life forms in existance? We haven't even travelled out of our own solar system yet! What the fuck do they (or any of us) know?

Jaguar? You'd be fighting for the survival of not only yourself but also your pack/family far more than any average joe.

As for the whole world peace thing, it's plain utopic. The current system heavily depends on wars, others' misery, etc. In a way, the bad stuff is what helps your parents put the food in your plate, whether you like it or not. The best you can do is adjust and try be least of an asshole to others while properly supporting the ones you love/the ones who love you.

yes, some countries DEPEND on war to drive their economy.
whether or not this is true, is it rumoured that the US joined the vietnam war, not to only 'prevent communism taking over the world' (or whatever higgledy piggledy it was) but to also make sure the goldern triangle was left uninterupted....

You didn't do anything to me. I was judging by your text:
... My high school years were nothing compared to the shit I went through during Desert Storm. Did I get depressed and bitter when I got out of the military? A bit. Did I kill any one afterwards as a civilian? No. ...
Even if you really have (not saying you have) gone through similar shit as they did that doesn't mean you can call them morons. Some people are stronger than others, people have different limits.

Okay then, for argument sake, I will take the moron label back.
Now, that only leaves a few million other people who think also that they are morons or worse, I guess you got your work cut out for you then.

I tell you what, since you feel so strong about this, here's a tip from me: Why don't you share your thoughts by writing to the families of the victims and tell them why you think the shooters should not be demonized, I am sure it will go by real smooth. And then let me know how that goes, okay?

Here's the address to the official Columbine Memorial site where you can find some contact info at, heck, they even have a phone number to call to: http://www.columbinememorial.org/Contact.asp

That wouldn't make anything better. They would most likely be very subjective.
Why not be like Texas and just sort out all the trash? After all, no one can be even partially responsible for another person's crime, right?

I'm having a hard time getting what you're trying to say here. Sure, they're mentally ill people pushed by the loads of various negative factors in their lives, but that does not mean they can't be held guilty or even hated for the horrible things they've commited.

Also, any lack of compassion from the people in their environment can not come without a reason. One does not get cast out for nothing and being unable to change/cope with that does not let you do the stuff they did.

So it is right to hate humans who killed because they hated the ones who hated them? I see a pattern here.
And yes, of course they can't do the stuff they did.
Now, that only leaves a few million other people who think also that they are morons or worse, I guess you got your work cut out for you then.
You can't use "because lots of people don't agree with you you are wrong" as an argument. That's just silly.

Uhm, as amazing as this might sound, I think I ran out of snapy comebacks for this Columbibe issue, just tired of it already I guess. No reason to keep beating a dead horse. Let's see if I can steer this thread back to the origional topic, or at least close to it:

Just found this, it's topic related:
A computerized, high-tech projectile launcher that can take out bad guys hiding around corners and in caves or trenches, even if they're out of the soldier's line of sight.

On this whole future force warrior thing I don't really understand the point of it, in its current state the US army can kick the ass of any nation it wants willy-nilly and yet they keep spending all this money on more advanced technology which seems unnecessary. Just look at the F-22 raptor that cost something like $622million to design and its supposed to replace the F-15 but what is the point of that, to date no F-15 has been lost in combat which means there was absolutely no need to replace it.

Technology is always advancing, for both sides of a conflict. The enemy might be trying to make their soldiers better, and it's always a good idea to try and counter threats before they appear.

Exactly.

Now, with all this talk about American military supremacy, and all the high tech wizardry that comes with it, there's bound to have the need to use it. And if any of you here have been following the news of late, you would have heard that the Korean peninsula is heating up very badly! It has even come to the point of discussing a possible pre-emptive nuclear strike! For the past week, the North Koreans have been doing underground nuclear detonations, launching ballistic missiles over Japan and threatening to attack U.S. Navy ships, and that's just the tip of it! Yahoo! News just did a very good news update on this escalation, I strongly recommend you read it, it does not look good: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_us_north_korea_military

Exactly like most reality TV shows, and this. I can't wait until they get their weapons taken away and are no longer a threat to the entire world. Think about what would happen if just one large scale nuke were to ge off. If nuclear war was started, It would only take a few shots until the world was irradated far too much for life, or even blasted apart.
