The NS2 people released an in-engine teaser trailer for NS2. I think the new onos looks a bit fake, but oh well, its still going to be pretty kick-ass methinks.

Who else is buying it? :ciggie:

The onos looks like it has some kind of tribal head dress rather than spikey evil killer alien aspects.

still awesome, nonetheless.

None of the good old mods are free anymore. It sucks!
I might buy it anyways, only because the first one was so totally awesome

Hmmm, well I was never a fan of the original so unless they release a demo which I enjoy then I won't buy it.

I loved NS, but for whatever reason I have little interest in this one.

We'll see if it's worth it when more footage is released.

Fall 2009?
With it being that close you think they would have shown something other than concept art by now.

I have the opposed feeling, and I think this game will be one of the few bought by me.
If I were to watch the teaser without knowing ns2 is developed on source, I would say it's a new graphic engine.

Didn't they decide to go with their own engine instead of Source?
I saw this old video of the source version and it looked pretty awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnaJLk8MhL4

It is a new engine. They're not using Source, it's custom.

I thought it's a heavily modified source engine ...

Hah.

It was, but Source soon became too crappy for what they have in mind so now it's sexy engine time.

It wouldn't look that nice and it would be much more limited.

I'll try to buy it. (I'll get the special edition though :P)

That trailer isn't in realtime, Seker.

looks realtime to me. it was obviously scripted, but those environments look the same as other realtime videos i've seen.

Or the NS2 team has gone Black Widow and started making comercial source games.

Pretty unimpressive tbh. No actual gameplay footage.

Everybody knew NS2 was going to be a commercial game since the day it was announced. I don't see how using the Source engine would hurt the fanbase, given this.
