Silly Huntey, if you jump back to page 1 you will see that V Paramanov is a high ranking metrocop. That means full access to APC's and manhacks.But APC's are mini tanks. Tank + water CHASE = fail

Call in reinforcments and storm the outpostMeaning call for reinforcements, Then storm the base yourself. Not call for reinforcements and let them storm it for you. You'd go into it before the reinforcements arive, and die at the first decision.

As a metrocop, I would assume that he might have had at least a little training concerning what to do if outnumbered. Its pretty obvious he intends to go in with backup.

The trick here is to take note of events in HL2. Chasing the woman in the airboat is a lost cause, seeing as she is still alive and well with the airboat intact when Gordon arrives 2 weeks later.
But APC's are mini tanks. Tank + water CHASE = failAgain, think back to HL2. The APC's have mounted rocket launchers and machine guns, and can speed around the surrounding highway, firing from bridges and such.
