So some crazy English reporters decided to let a herd of 100 cats roam free in an IKEA store after night. Why? "Just to see what they'd do."

Oh, and there's a video.

If that's some kind of research than that's the most stupid research ever done.

They've got a lot of cute footage for their advertising out of this.

I would've thought a hundred estranged cats was a recipe for disaster, especially in a giant warehouse full of upholstered furniture.

Nope. If they released some elephants then it would've been cool.

Crap, not awesome at all. I totally dislike the way they completely neglect any real reason to as why they are doing it; advertisement. There's nothing wrong with admitting that they were just trying to make an ad, even just for a viral video.

You could never do this in the US, too many "cat allergic" people would sue.

hahaha, anyone who has ever had a cat would know this is impossible. Cats are amazing.

True, they always manage to do the most unexpected things. I want a cat now, I mean I had a cat before I moved to England but not at the moment :(.

Was this in america? if so, then it was probably funded by Obama's stimulus bill.

That was a cool advertisment idea... They almost showed too many different scenes too fast but it was still a really nice commercial for ikea.
I'd love to have been there ;D.
Lol Skals laying on his back on the floor as cats hopped over and sniffed him and meowed into the camera frantically.

"An English IKEA..."
It's the very first sentence of the article, come on :|

I'm definitely NOT buying there any time soon.

No worries there. IKEA is pretty much glorified Target furniture anyway.
Posted 14 years ago2010-09-12 09:02:57 UTC Post #285289
As far as I know, it's a good store because for many of the products you don't pay for some of the fabrication costs as you put it together yourself. It's also mostly nice simplistic furniture that isn't overly flashy.
