Simple problem: I have a HL2 CD key that I wish to activate on steam. However they need me to insert the CD itself which is the stupidest thing to ask for seeing that it's a dam electronic product delivery system. Ironically I have all the HL2 CD's except Disc 1. Stupid, Stupid.

As bad as it may sound, you may want to try getting a mini DVD\CD image, and mount that as a last resort if nothing else works. And no, I don't see it being piracy as all it does is emulate the DVD\CD being in the drive, and you cannot actually install games using it.

Tough luck, whatcha gonna do. If it doesn't work with the other discs, I'm afraid there's not much you can do.

Just so happens.. I have an 11g hard-drive as a slave in my system, specifically for mounting iso. >_>'

I own 3 copies of Lord of Distruction and can't find a single disc, which have the keys on them. I feel for ya bro.
