I agree. But I was assuming using plain logic that most people go to bed, even if not at a reasonable hour like Skals, then at most 2 a.m.

Because Counter-Strike requires some finesse to master, HLDM and OPFOR are just simply shooting gallery in comparison.

Counter strike has the best playable MP bots out of all goldsource games, I believe. There are more tactics involved due to the given in-game objectives, which involves more strategy than typical deathmatch find-shoot-kill gameplay. That gets old pretty fast.
I think my ping would be substantially better for June only. But I'll be too busy at this time. I'll see if I can make it on what was it, June 17?

Counterstrike maps are playable in hl from what I know.Not easily.
With a crowbar.
Also, there's Team Fortress Classic. I know a server with some really fun maps, and even escape maps.

I don't play on dead servers, but I doubt they are better then the regular.The server was dead for some time, but that was long ago. Besides, the server is only empty at night.
