Counterstrike condition zero isn't working on my laptop. It has been working fine but now when I try to play it a few seconds after it begins running a window pops up saying half life launcher has stopped working, windows is searching for the problem.

I deleted condition zero and reinstalled it and restarted the laptop but still not working. Any ideas? Last time I played I dl'd a football game/mod in counterstrike cz and played with a friend. Worked fine.

Also I am able to launch halflife fine.

At least one other person on the Steam forums has reported the issue as well, but no solution was found in the thread.
Exiting Steam and deleting CZ's hl.exe, then restarting steam and trying to play it to force it to re-download was suggested, but the OP never reported if it worked.

Also try right clicking on it in Steam, go to the local files tab and "verify integrity of game cache"

Don't just re-install, delete the entire condition zero folder, re-installing doesn't do anything other then redownload the GCF files.

Tried this too and still doesn't work. After deleting it and everything when I re install it it starts off at 64 percent done. Any other place content could be that I should delete?

The 64 percent done is probably because you have Half-Life installed.

Yes because you already have all the core half-life engine files already downloaded it's only re-downloading the Condition Zero files, but as you've already completely nuked it [There should be no chance of any user saved settings or mods left after completely deleting the folder in your username folder], then all I'd suggest is just updating drivers for your hardware.

Did you delete the Gcf as well? :P
