  • as in a removal; + added shears = added shears, not added added shears.
Herobrine is a myth; Notch actually just removed the unused Human mob.

Afaik, don't update to 1.7 if you want to play on the SnC server for it's last few days...unless Archie decides to update it.

Dimbark, you do realize Notch has been putting that in the recent change logs as a joke because pretty much everyone already knows Herobrine isn't real.

Which two...Archie and Urby?

Oh, btw, Rim, I was on the server last night, and in case you don't already know, someone/thing trashed your home. There's something about the damage that leads me to believe it wasn't a greifer.

Maybe it was Herobrine. :P :sarcastic:

I crave for new resourcesdiversification of current activities.

Such as a diversification for farming. Currently, besides growing maybe cactus and sugar canes, wheat is the only plant that can be farmed.
I also want fruit trees.

Hey guys, do you know about Minetest-c55? I'm curious about this one, it already looks a lot like Minecraft. It's multiplatform, not built on the shitty Java language.

Nope, just trying to do everyone a favour.

I'm very happy with this update, mainly because it will make my next construction project SO much easier to build since fences can now be stacked. Pistons seem interesting, but I dunno what I would make with them.

One of the main selling points of Java is that it is widely available on tons of platforms.

The same reason anyone stops playing anything. You can only do the same thing over and over so many times before it starts to get dull. Bear in mind that Archie and I started played back in the day when it was just classic mode in your browser. :|

Wait...you updated to 1.7 Rim? So it's up to me alone to do our end of server plan?! Bastard!

EDIT: DAMN IT!!!! I lost connection to the server and lost a dozen stacks of materials/items, and they didn't reappear in the walls I mined them from. :furious:

Damn it, I updated to 1.7 I can't finish my skyscraper before the server goes down now :( and there's another reason I shouldn't have. Pistons have a bug that can crash the game and corrupt the world file, If you have updated to 1.7 wait until 1.7.2 to use pistons.
Posted 12 years ago2011-07-01 01:30:33 UTC Post #296089
World file from the snc server was backed up tonight. I won't be doing it again. Final day of server uptime will be the 3rd of July, but whether or not it'll update in that time I don't know. Up to the server providers.

I'll make it available for download when I can be bothered uploading it.

X-layer, pistons are safe, just don't cause that bug. It's caused by placing a piston in the ground with a wall behind it, then putting a button on that wall (buttons occupy an entire block space). Press button > piston goes up into button > fail.

If I made a greatly successful game like minecraft on my own, I would definitely add some extremely rare monster like herobrine just as an Easter egg, or a fun feature to scare players and force all these rumors about it. My guess to this guy would be he is either legitimately implemented into the game for fun, or is just a spoof someone taught might be fun to create. for all we know these pics could be photo-shopped :).

It's incredible, but I agree. The game itself is shitty, and the idea is brilliant, but old. Remember Robinson Crusoe?

The game isn't "shitty".

My computer can barely handle it.
Dimbeak DimbeakRotten Bastard
Posted 12 years ago2011-07-01 17:33:48 UTC Post #296111
Your shitty computer barely being able to handle it is not proof that the game isn't shitty. It just means it's poorly optimised.

I, too, would love to see it done on a better, more stable engine.

I hadn't updated to 1.7 because of the SnC server but this makes me want to. A fast, efficient, and pretty compact redstone elevator.
As far as I can tell making one out of pistons above pistons would require building a small computer if you want it to reset.
