I've used blender to make models and some animations but it seemed a little complicated to get them textured and into halflife. I've heard milkshape is the best. This true?

I want to make a new mod but will not until I can make basic models with animations and get them textured and into halflife.

My mod is going to be like my dream mod. Except you are tripping on magic mushrooms and exploring a hallucinated world. I've made this mod atleast three different times but never finished and shared one. Its a lot like my dream mod but much more interesting.

Super Mario?

Anyways, I know this mod will be awesome. You are a mapping expert.

Milkshape is the easiest to use, but the best is definitely 3Ds Max.

yup, but you may want to confer with rimrook on this, but i think you may have problems with animations working properly from max, so milkshape is probably your best bet for goldsource.

I disagree, 3ds max is the easiest and is one of the most powerful 3d modelling tools you can get [Along with maya etc]

I just started using the SoftImage Mod Tool. I think its Easy as fuck to use, but I dont think you can port models to GldSrc D: And I still cant get my textures to work.

Milkshape is the most compatible. Model elsewhere and use milkshape to finish up and port the models.

You can open a model done in another program in milk? And compatability is what I need. I just need a few basic models. I don't want to make a mod with out atleast some custom models.

Not Exactly, you can IMPORT another model, I use 3ds file format to export in blender to milkshape.

If you're making a mod and need props/models, tell me what you need. I have seen countless models from my many years of modplaying and perhaps I can find you what you need.

Ok awesome. I'm not sure yet but will do. I'm sure I will have to make a few though.
