is it possible we can add profile comments for "User" and "Maps" pages? (No need to have journal comments for obvious reason each journal is commentable)

I'd probably have to say that journal comments and private messages take care of anything that you might want to post on someone's profile. So I'm going to have to give this notion a thumbs down.

Yes, but you can't access Steam from every computer you come across. You can access TWHL though. So, I support this idea.

Meh. One of the reasons I like this site is because it hasn't jumped on the mimicing-social-networking-sites bandwagon. Besides, apart from "Hi", it will rarely be used at all, and nigh on never used productively. There's not much point.

Everything else would either go in the shoutbox or would just be spam. That includes saying "hi" for the sake of saying "hi."

Those two posts's arguments make absolutely no sense. A journal is limited to a single topic and a PM is a two-way discussion. If neither you or anybody else honestly see what a profile comment system could do that a PM system or journal comment system can't then I don't know what to say.
Now that's not to say it's so important it deserves to be added, but comparing PM's and journals to it? Idiotic.

Fair enough, seems like most people are not for this.
I guess I just really like tge functionality to add comments to almost any page on the site, because I feel it can only add to the content's deliciousness, not detract from it.

The correct way is for me to make my own decision, which I did. It just so happens that somebody else had already explained why it's not happening. So while you may say it's based on "2 minor opinions", it's really based on one major opinion: mine.
Comments on profiles would just be used for spam (even CapT seems to agree with this, considering his initial example). Not only that, profile bio's change often so comments on them would just be irrelevant and not make sense after it changes.

If I remember correctly, mainly because of this guy and this guy. Who were Crollo. Proof here. (Pretty sure Yodalman was banned.) But also because he still says pretty stupid or ignorant stuff sometimes. Personally, I don't hate him. I'm merely irritated by him.

Comparing a comment bar on twhl to facebook is really just kind of stupido. We have comments for every other damn thing on the site pretty much anyway.
