listen.. ive tried to read the twhl tutorial on batch compile but i couldnt get it...

ive downloaded zhtl gui (or w.e it is) but the downloads were missing files which i could not get

ive used valve hammer compiler my whole mapping career and even bought extra memory just for mapping but my latest map (i believe my first REAL map) requires more memory if i want to use this compiling method

all im asking is someone to take a lil time out to help explain to me a new "non ram hogging" method of compiling or direct me to a specificly detailed tutorial on the web

if ur laughing at me and thinking im a nub @$$ mapper... well i cant blame you... this post isnt for spamming hatred towards my noobish ways i just want some help so if anyone isnt busy:

For RAD: -sparse uses only about 10% of the RAM but uses more CPU time.

FOR ALL:

-low

Setting the priority of the compile tools to -low is very handy, as you can multitask and do other things without really feeling the drain of the compile programs on the system, provided there is enough memory for the tools and the other programs you use.

-high

Uses all available memory to compile the map. Maps take a shorter time to complete compiling and are generally better off for it.

put it after the rad command line.

its in the ref. file that came with the tools

Most of the tutorials assume you have read the files that come with the tools
