Well, 32 hours after the surgery, I was released from the hospital. Had a few fevers, got some well deserved rest, ate some aweful food!!! (it must be a law)

I say that I THINK the surgery is a success because I have YET to speak with the doctor about it. But he felt confident to send me home the next day, so things must be really good!

I hope I'm back on my feet in a few months to play some PAINTBALL!

Were you miserable after the surgery for a long time?

ROFL - footcrab? Interesting... I'd rather have my foot turn into a turret!

A serious question for anyone who would know.....

A fever spikes to about 101 (+/- a degree) every 4-6 hours... tylenol seems to reduce it, but then it's back... could that mean an infection?
Posted 19 years ago2004-06-04 18:56:24 UTC Post #30399
That definately is an infection or sumthing there. Go to a doctor. I had an operation a couple of years ago and got quite a bad fever, and headaches. Went to doctor, prescribed a parocetamol and i was fine in a week or 2.

Posted 19 years ago2004-06-04 18:59:59 UTC Post #30402
heres a great tip. never get an operation from an operationist. theyre stupid people who think thats the name for someone who performs operations. if he cant spell, dont let him practise spelling on any part of you, be they necassery or not.
Posted 19 years ago2004-06-04 19:07:42 UTC Post #30406
You have an operation by a Surgeon, and a Death-Sentence from an operationist.

i was hot once. the sun was in the sky and the wind was gone, which is a pretty rare occurance in the scottish coast. course it was only about 20summin degrees, which by american standards is nothing. the crappest thing is we dont get snow cos were too near the sea and all the salt in the air makes it go all mushy. this is really off topic!
Posted 19 years ago2004-06-05 10:05:05 UTC Post #30528
Don't know what 20 is like, cause here in America we use Farenheight, no fricken clue why though. It makes sence to make freezing point 0.
Posted 19 years ago2004-06-05 10:14:58 UTC Post #30532
I like celcius better than fareignheight becuse it makes more sense. im used to Fareignhight though.

20 centigrade is 68 farenheit.

Use this. I wrote it myself and it converts distance, weight, temperature, fluid volume, pressure, speed and time. Neat, huh? Plus it has a blue monkey! Haahaa! Blue monkey!

isn't it kalvin? Tell me if I'm wrong.
Posted 19 years ago2004-06-05 12:37:30 UTC Post #30576
Close. Kelvin. Plus it is not -260?, it's -273.15?. Absolute zero, at which point nothing moves on an atomic level because it is so cold.

The hottestedt Summer I've ever endured... Don't know if this will seem much to you non-American people (I don't know what you consider hot) but the averge summer in North Carolina is around 95 degrees. 2 years ago it got up to 112 degrees. And I had to go outside in it all day for some stupid summer camp that everyone hates.

i used to live in South Africa. summers peaked at around 44/45 degrees celcius. that's about 12 - 1 pm mid-day; you literally can't go outside for longer than 30 minutes or you'll frickin' explode in a ball of flame
(or just get cancer)

Once I had temperature of 40.2 and the colors started to blur... For a comparison the normal temperature is 37 and the temperature at wich the human brain cells die is 42...

When I was a baby I had over 41 and it held for hours...

In a really hot summer here you can fry eggs on the asphalt. It's like 45deg under shadow and the asphalt gest sticky and soft. While in a really cold winter you can brake aluminium like chpis! But such temperatures weren't reached from about 4 years. Yesterday there was a very strong storm and the air raid siren were activated. Violent lightnings...
