Nihilanth is the baddie...but yes, he looks like a fat, mutated baby. Gman's not evil, just mysterious...I think he's good really. He's a very weird guy though...and in HL2, he looks scary, and yet at the same time, drunk

ill say G-man. he's the one who fings a way to get into all restricted areas, teleport away at any moment AND keep his suit looking sharp even though he deals with dirty aliens and even dirtier marines.

Dr. Rosenberg is an important character from Blueshift. If you haven't played it yet, play it. It's short but I found it a vey well-constructed add-on.

Blue Shift was great. Funnily enough, I played Blue Shift before I playe d Half-Life. I have Blue-Shift to thank for my interest and skills in mapping today.
Nihilanth, because I thought it was the funniest character I'd seen in any game. (But the bastard is too big to have more than one in my maps!)

The G-Man isn't that bad... he's simply doing his work as well as the marines. He actually helps you a couple of times in Opposing Force. Until you've played Op4 you can't see the real deal in this aline invasion stuff. From the eyes of a marine, thinking he's hunting Freeman, but actually being hunted by Gordon... and finally 'preserved' by the G-Man. Does anyone knows if there will be an Op4 sequel?? I WANT TO LEAVE THAT OSPREY!!!

I want to fight the G-Man. He's so much cooler, and he's got that "preserved in phermaldahyde" personality that just drives the babes batty. I'm totally going to give G-Man the AI of a grunt (with snarks instead of grenades), and see if I can't get him wall-jumping.

The marines do not work for the Gman. The blackops do, but not the marines. Blue Shift was an excellent mod, if short, and Dr. Rosenberg also appears in HL: Decay on PS2. I hope they do a PC conversion of that, I'd love to play it. Also, Black Cat beat Nihilanth with a crowbar. It's easy enough, you can only use it when his head opens though.

No, Ive tried going inside Nihilanth's head with the crobar before. You have to open his head. That is when the sprite appears in his head. If you go in before that's there he lives.
Also, well if the Black Ops work for the Gman then he is still against you, for the mos part. Black ops still try to kill you.(Black ops are hassasins and the black guys in Opposing Force right?)

I've beaten the Nihilanth with only a hornet gun. Just jump on the lowest platform and then shoot him with the alt-fire. Soon his healing balls will start dissapearing and when he's got none his head is constantly open and he shoots only a single elcertyball a time and no ports anymore. And the teleporters can be killed with the alt-fire of the hornet as well.

It is simple, shoot the crystals with the rocket launcher. Then shoot his energy spheres (the red ones) with a energy weapon like the guass or egon.
