Steam summer sale just started on the 11th and will end on the 21st.
I was looking the other day through my disks for Quake 3 and UT2004; no success for 30 mins even after digging through the basement for them, so looks like i'll have to pull them from these sales.
Any other recommendations, what's everyone getting?

I've got three things on my wishlist at the moment (well, four, but the Steam Controller doesn't count): Kerbal Space Program, Witcher 3 and Massive Chalice. The first two have not got good enough deals to persuade me to buy them yet. Chalice was already scores cheaper than them though, so it doesn't have to try as hard. I may get that sooner rather than later.
Oh, and bought Blue Shift and Opposing Force because I apparently didn't have them on Steam.

Remember not to buy anything until the last day of the sales unless it's a daily/flash sale. Often stuff that's discounted during the sales turns into a daily deal with a bigger discount.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is $3.74 on steam right now. Don't quote me on this, but I don't think it will get much cheaper then that. I think I'm going to get it. It usually goes half off more or less, but it's at 75% off right now which is the cheapest I've seen it. However, I always seem to miss the sales. Probably for the better. I got enough old games as it is. Finding people to play them is the trick. hahaha

Good ol' UT2004. Might go a round of that now, actually. ONS-Tricky with stunt vehicles on, methinks.

I scrolled through the front store page until Steam seemed to be scratching the bottom of the barrel, and didn't see anything else that appealed to me. Anyone got any good recommendations?

I should suggest something multiplayer so I have someone to play with, though.

I remember playing onslaught on a small forest level. Can't remember the name, but I had some crazy action packed matches on it. They were always long matches, but every moment was intense cause you never knew when the other side would gain the advantage and taking back ground on it was very difficult if not impossible. Valve complete pack is $24.99 right now. I'm not sure if that gets any cheaper either. I got it last year, but it's a great deal for anyone who doesn't own a majority of the games in it.

Sounds like ONS-Primeval.

I'll probably grab Fallout 3 if it's cheap enough.

I picked up Frozen Synapse: Prime, and it's pretty fun. It's a very experimental TBS game and is definitely worth picking up while it's still on sale for $4.

Welp, UT2004 is in the bag. Also got Oddworld: Strangers Wrath Hd when it was down to -75%.
Wolfenstein New Order is also at -75%, very tempting... But i'm done supporting anymore ports from console to PC for now.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is flash-selling right now for $7.50. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

And Rogue Legacy is flashing for $3! Also recommended!

Also, they were all sneaky; The Witcher franchise is on daily sale, but Witcher 3 is still what is was before. This is why I don't end up with the bigger titles until years after everyone else; I'm not comfortable paying three times the price for a game compared to others I might enjoy just as much.

After watching this, I'm totally tempted to pick up Duck Game. I've posed an open invitation to my friends, but in the event they aren't as enthused, I'll probably be looking here.

EDIT2: And if it goes on daily/flash, I'm also now recommending Massive Chalice. It's pretty fun!

To Pengy and anyone else waiting for a sale, it's here: The Talos Principle, 66% off. I.E. $13.59 USD. Having just finished it, I'll say it's one of those few games worth its full price. I'd put a post in that stickied "Just Finished Gaming" thread, but it's time-locked with three posts in it.

Also, System Shock 2 is a buck. I should probably get it now.

EDIT: Terraria, $2.50. If a server ever happens again, maybe you can be prepared =P
