Hi,
I've been using hammer to map for counter strike for a month or so now so I've set hammer up perfect before, I re-formatted my hd and installed ALL updates and everyhting again to restore my pc back to acceptable standards.

I install half life again and suddenly there's no cstrike folder in the half life directory. I intalled steam and everything but still no cstrike folder. How can steam run Counter Strike if it dosnt exist!!!!???

Can anyone help this is realy annoying.

The CSTRIKE directory will only be created for custom files. The rest is in SteamSteamAppscounter-strike.gcf and can be opened with GCFScape.

Ok what you need to do is open up steam on go into CS. Join any random game just for like a minute or two. It is then that the CS directory will created.

The CSTRIKE dir is in counter-strikecstrike, not half-lifecstrike.

All other files are in the GCF.
