If you dont like a map, please dont make a post that only says you hate it. It makes the map look bad to others who might like it and were planning to download it.

Everybody is dedicated to his own oppinion.
Posting only positive comments would falsify the overall appearence too.
If you want more positive replies, keep mapping.
You'll get better and better, so as the reactions on your maps.

It's called the person's opinion. If I don't like a map, I have every right to say so. If someone is going to go "Oh my god, RabidMonkey777 hated this map, so I hate it too!" and not download it, then they need to learn to think for themselves.

I can still remember a thread in which you yelled at CP after he gave some hints.
Not everybody here knows how to map.
But if a map runs laggy, they notice that and they'll report it.
Build some HL SP maps. It's more fun to play an SP map alone than a CS MP map without any real opponents.

Get some bots or actuall have people join your server. As for captain P, at least he gave help. I'm talking about just flat out saying "This map is shit!". I dont like that, its discouraging, makes you think mapping isnt worth it.

If people spend more time on their maps, instead of releasing versions that look like they are unfinished, or if you state it is unfinished and you want opinions, then they're bound to get more support and help than placing something in Completed maps that looks like it belongs elsewhere.

Being mean is one thing, but having an honest opinion about a map is another. saying that a map is shit is mean, where saying "I really don't like this map. It is too slow, the texturing is not very well done, and the enemy placement needs some improvement" is a better thing to say to try no to hurt others feelings.

Why was this thread started here? Isn't this for questions about how to map? And BL, some people are loudmouthed jerks who don't respect others, why treat them with the same respect as you would a well manored person? Some people need to learn that they cant run around being a-holes and still be treated as kindly as everyone else. That's all.

One could argue that rating and reviewing and commenting on maps is part of 'general mapping'.
And Mr. Anonymous, lots of people post things about maps, in the map vault. Get an account.

outcast, it's called persistence and perseverance, you have to keep going whether people play them or not, if you don't, someone else will fill your shoes, now i'm not saying it's right to say you hate the map, but it's not wrong...

Yeah, when I finish The Outcast it will be awesome. Too bad I'm really lazy so it take me forever to make it. been making he game for about 2 and a half years now.
