compile sven coop with steam?

ok as you can see i am VARY new to maping for steam. anyways, i got how to configure hammer for steam (thx monkey) but i'm having trouble compileing sven coop. the game won't run after i compile. I didn't check the "don't run game" box so that can't be it. please im having trouble.

Do you have Zoner's tools? If not, get them. What do you mean the game won't run? You've started up SC and it doesn't load your map? Compile error? What?

theres no error, i have zoner's, and sc won't start. theres no po up saying run time error or nothing... weirdest case i ever saw!

So if SC doesn't start, it seems like a Steam error and not a compile error. Can you play Half-Life, Cstrike, DoD, TFC, etc, or is it just a SC error? If it's an SC error, reinstall.

whats weird is that when i go into advance mode i launch hl not sc... did i do something wronge?

Add "-game sven" to the "HL.exe" line.

"-game sven" should work, as seventh said. Is your map goin into the sven maps folder or the hl maps folder. You might want to check that as well

Just right-click Sven on the Third-Party games menu on Steam and run it from there...if you get the HL screen, try making a game and see if its SC.

well in the maps folder it brakes into 2 folders (steam and won) i put it in steam...
