Ive had world craft for a long time now but i have always been hearing people talking about better versions and newer ones. My computer is at my neighbors house getting upgraded and he is going to erase everything on my comp. I was just wandering what the latest and BEST! version of worldcraft or hammer was and what you would recommend me getting now that I need to get it again. I dont want to get spirit but just the latsest best version of half life editor. Ive got plenty of memory now to handle anything.

Less bugs, better features.
With 3.5 Beta, you can see models and animations in the 3d view, instead of green and purple blocks. You need to have unpaked the models though.

oh yea cant you edit in 3d with this hammer? and whats with the problem on loading your second map? does this only happen once?

Edit in 3D? If you're refering to the models then no you can't. You can set animations and actually see the models but you can't edit them.

FGD is also known as Game Data Files. Half-life's fgd stores information about available entities, their properties and flags, and how they look in VHE.
You can download it with that link i gave you up there. You need to replace the old one though. It goes in Valve Hammer Editor/fgd/half-life.

Yea but go to the download page and scroll down. See where it says notes: ? it says some things like having problems with loading second maps or something. Do I need to worry about this?

i know what he means .... its somthing to do with the texture handalling but it rearly happens so dont worry about it its just a bug thats why its still called BETA. but its still a damd site better than the previouse versions.
