From Tommy14:
Most probably your .rmf, your .map or .bsp has been corrupted in some way. AAAtrigger textures are treated special, and should have a special lightstyle of 255, which means "no light data" = RAD is supposed to ignore them. If AAAtrigger is going through RAD, something is wrong, most probably corruption. (BTW: a luxel is short for "luminosity pixel" -- it's a fancier name for a light sample.)
Since your map is not corrupted, did AAATrigger accidentaly end up in your lights.rad list?

its never happened to me but i downloaded a map from uncomplete section and wen i tried to start it it came up with the same message and i think youll find that aaa trigger shouldnt really be used as a texture but truly for triggeres hence the name aaatrigger but it seemed to work for me even though i used aaatrigger as a texture so im not quite sure whats wrong wit your map so it must be as rabid says and it has to be corrupted so i suggest installing again if you have found the problem that is then forgot i even existed :

Before you "reinstall" anything, try downloading the tutorial maps, compile them and see if they work.

If they do, you may have accidentally used the aaatrigger texture in your map. If so, look at your map very carefully to ensure you followed the tutorial.

i think what his done is that like most of us he started his first test map by making a hollow cube with the aatrigger everwhere like it says to do on the begginer tut so i dont know what is wrong with his aatrigger but the only way i would do it was make another hollow cube but instead of using aatrigger as your main texture select another pre-made half life texture or if ur clever use ur own textures that u make in wally or expert program (forgot wat it was called) and if it works wit the other texture then their must be sumthing wrong wit ur aaatrigger texture and i would suggest either go to options in hammer and remove the half life texture.wad and then add it again to see any difference if not well im stumped

any other suggestions people? :

Thankyou so much, yes the problem was as Habboi had said.

I used a normal texture and it works fine.

Thankyou so much for all your responces and help.

I look forward to bing an active member of the community.

I used to play around mapping for kingpin and after purchasing and playing condition zero i got the urge to map again.

I already have a map down on paper for a bomb defusal map, so this week i will start to put it into worldcraft.

Will post up screenies when its nearly done.

Thanks again peeps!
